Since 1997 I’ve had ceramic tiles made that mark special moments in our lives over the year, which I’d give to Florence at Christmas time. Usually 5-6 each year. The number of tiles has grown over the year to over 100. For the longest time they sat on our coffee table in Mexico and we’d go through them like a stack of cards over our morning coffee or evening glass of wine. The problem is we didn’t have the wall space for them, and didn’t want to put them up only to have to take them down again as we were moving. But the new apartment in Lisbon had just the right amount of space on a wall on our terrace, so we decided to mount them. We are now able to see them all at one glance. Below are images of the tiles that are part of our wall.
